FOREST GROVE, Ore.- For the third time this spring, the Pacific University men's tennis team faced a Division I foe, but the talented Grizzlies of the University of Montana would come out on top, 6-1.
 
"Although the scores don't reflect it, we showed some really tough play out there today," said Head Coach Brian Jackson. "That might be the best team we see this year. It is not often we get to see a nationally-ranked Division I team, and it was a good learning experience. Although we would have loved to have seen more wins in preseason play, we know that the experience will pay off as we get into some conference play next week."
 
Mason Tran (Freshman/Irvine, CA) got the lone singles win for the Boxers, defeating his opponent 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 in the number-two spot.

3. Theilgaard/Benn (MU) def. Hu/Murata (PAC) – 5-4 (match halted once doubles point was clinched).
