FOREST GROVE, Ore.- The Pacific University men's tennis team opened up the Northwest Conference slate on Saturday with 9-0 win over Linfield. The clean sweep for the Boxers gives them their first overall win of the year as well as first conference win.

Brian Jackson was pleased with the effort from his team today, "A good performance up and down the lineup today, and a nice way to start out the NWC season. The players were focused, and played solid throughout the match. Really proud of the strong play in singles, which we have been needing. I am hoping to keep that energy going tomorrow against Willamette."

In total today, eight different Boxers got to compete against Linfield.
Reyn Miyagawa (Junior/Kaneohe, HI) led the way for Boxers picking up a win in both doubles and singles at the number one spot.
