FOREST GROVE, Ore.- Pacific men's tennis dropped their first Northwest Conference match of season on Saturday afternoon, as George Fox came away with the 6-3 victory.
"It was a really tough battle today, as we knew it would be," said Head Coach
Brian Jackson. "We, unfortunately, came out flat in doubles and had to fight from behind the rest of the match. I love the way we competed in singles as a whole and I feel that we were right there with a very good George Fox team. We are hoping to get another shot at them down the road. We are looking to bounce back against Lewis & Clark tomorrow and Concordia-Texas on Monday."
Mason Tran (Freshman/Irvine, CA) picked up a win in the number-two spot for singles, winning his match 6-3, 6-2.
Nicholas Koulisis (Freshman/Boca Raton, FL) grinded out a three-set victory at number-three, coming away with the 6-0, 6-7, 10-5.
Quentin Gonzalez (Junior/Orange, CA) and
Aidan Rooney (Freshman/Mililani, HI) grabbed a doubles point for Pacific by defeating their opponents 8-7.
