SALEM, Ore. – The Pacific University lacrosse team fell to Willamette on Wednesday night by the score of 20-4.
Hyland Cullen-Musengo (Sophomore/Portland, OR) reached a milestone on the evening, tallying her 30
th goal on the season. She was also able to find the back of the net later in the match for her 31st goal on the year.
How It Happened
The Bearcats opened the game with four unanswered goals in the first seven minutes of the game. The Boxers' leading goal scorer, Cullen-Musengo, would keep the Boxers within striking distance by responding with a first-quarter goal of her own.
The lead would stretch to 10-1 for the hosts midway through the second quarter before
Sophia Alexander (Sophomore/Santa Barbara, CA) would find the back of the net for her fourth goal of the season.
With the Boxers trailing 11-2, Cullen-Musengo break through the defense and fire a shot to the back of the net, her second on the day.
Pacific endured a scoring drought of nearly 15 minutes before
Billie Merriam (Junior/Windsor, CO) broke through with the Boxers' final goal.

The Boxers will conclude the 2022 season on April 23
rd with a 1 PM game at Hanson Stadium. It will be Senior Day as three seniors will be honored prior to the game.
