FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Pacific Men's Golf team earned a second place finish this weekend at the Pacific Invite. The second-place finish is the highest finish for the Boxers in any event since the 2010-11 season.
Top Performers
- Mason Rodewald led the way with two one under par rounds earing a solo third place finish.
- Kaleb Makimoto improved five strokes on day two shooting 73.
How It Happened
Pacific fired an opening round of 299 to put the Boxers in second place heading into day two.
Johnathan Riley led the way for the Boxers with a two-under 70 in the opening round. Rodewald was able to provide the Boxers another sub-par round on the day with a 71. Makimoto and Kams Romney rounded out the day one top four with a 78 and 80 respectfully.
Rodewald used the momentum from day one to fire another 71 on day two. The round of 71 included four birdies in the first six holes.
Matthew Zaback provided a round of 78 for the Boxers while Romney stayed consistent with another round of 80
