Pacific opened the 2023-24 women's basketball season Friday with a 73-66 loss to Stevens Tech.Â

Rilee Price gave the Boxers a 56-55 lead with 7:35 remaining in the game. However, Stevens Teach answered with a 13-2 run to take control of the game and lead 68-58 with 3:20 remaining.
Pacific's largest lead of the game came with 2:07 remaining in the first quarter when another Price 3-pointer put the Boxers on top 21-17. Pacific never led in the second or third quarter.
Price finished with 10 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals.
Brilie Kovaloff had 14 points, six rebounds, two blocks and two steals.
Marissa Layosa added 12 points.
The Boxers shot just 29.2 percent from the field and 21.9 percent from the 3-point arc. Pacific also had 18 turnovers in the loss.
Next, the Boxers host Chapman University on Friday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. in the Schumann Classic.Â
