Pacific opened the Schumann Classic Friday with a convincing 78-52 victory over Chapman.
Making her season debut, senior
Sydney Gray led the Boxers with 15 points, four rebounds and two assists while going a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line.
Pacific raced out to a 16-2 lead against Chapman and led 20-13 at the end of the first quarter. The Boxers extended their lead to 37-24 at halftime. Pacific then opened the third quarter on an 11-0 run to take complete control of the game.
Alexis Intong finished with 12 points and eight rebounds.
Brilie Kovaloff had nine points, four assists and three rebounds.
Rilee Price added nine points, three assists and four steals.
Emily Holsan also had nine points, three rebounds and two assists.Â
The Boxers shot 50.8 percent from the field and held Chapman to 28.8 percent.Â
Next, Pacific hosts Mary Hardin-Baylor Saturday at 6 p.m. in the Schumann Classic. The Crusaders defeated Willamette 86-49 on Friday.
