FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Pacific women's basketball suffered a 69-60 loss on Saturday to the second place Whitman Blues. The loss for the Boxers splits the regular season series between the two teams.
The Blues were propelled to the victory with a 23-point final quarter giving them the win. The huge fourth quarter saw the Blues convert 10-13 free throws to seal the victory.

- Brilie Kovaloff scored a team high 16 points while also handing out a team high three assists.
- Sydney Gray did a tremendous job controlling the glass collecting eight rebounds.
How It Happened
The Boxers started out the contest on a 10-0 scoring run over the first four minutes. After the Blues finally scored, the hosts continued to push the offensive scoring stretching the lead to 12 at the end of the opening quarter.
Pacific opened the second quarter with four quick points which gave them a 26-10 lead with 8:50 remaining in the quarter. The Blues responded with a 15-4 run to pull within five over the next six minutes. By the end of the first half, the Boxers held a 34-32 lead.
The two teams would trade baskets over the first four minutes and change before the Blues tied the game at 40 apiece with 5:14 remaining in the third. This was the first time the score was tied in the contest. The two teams were tied again at 44 before the Boxers closed out the quarter with five straight points. The Blues only basket over the final two minutes came with four seconds left in the quarter. At the end of three, the Boxers led 49-46.
After a five point lead was gained by the Boxers, the Blues battled back to tie the game at 51. The two teams would be knotted at 59 before the visitors put the Boxers away going on a 10-1 run over the final minute to put the game away giving them a 69-60 win.
