SALEM, Ore.- The Pacific University golf program competed over the weekend at Creekside GC in Salem, Oregon in the Willamette Valley Cup.

The women were able to compete to a second-place finish after holding a lead heading into the final round. The Boxers were led by
Nikki Tabios who fired an 86 in the opening round before following it up with a 93 on a rainy second day.
Avery Arnold was in third place entering the final round after firing an 85 that ties her career low. A 95 on the second day earned her a seventh-place finish.
Brenda Castillo Amparan had a steady weekend shooting 91 in the first round and 92 the following day.
Anna Gill saw a three-stroke improvement on the second day firing a 91.
Madison Cabardo earned a 12
th place finish while
Danica Schmidt came in 13
th and
Ellie Wallace finished in 17
th.

On the men's side, the Boxers produced a 9
th place finish in the same event.
Mason Rodewald led the way of the Boxers following a final round of 74 to climb 23 spots up the leaderboard.
Kaleb Makimoto was the Boxers second finisher following rounds of 79 and 80 in the two days.
Kamas Romney earned a T-44 finish while
Charlie Cloud earned a T-47 finish.
