Boxers Have Strong Start at NWC Championships

WOODBURN, Ore.- The Pacific University men's golf program concluded their 2023 campaign this weekend at the NWC championships hosted by George Fox University at the OGA Golf Course.
 
The Boxers had an excellent showing on day one firing a team score of 306 on day one. Pacific was led on day one by freshman Charlie Cloud who shot 74 which is one stroke off his collegiate low. Senior Kaleb Makimoto started his final college event with a 76 while Kamas Romney and Mason Rodewald each shot 78 to round out the Boxers top four. The Boxers were in sixth place following the opening round.
 
On day two the Boxers were led by Romney who shot 79 while Cloud, Makimoto and Rodewald each shot 81. A final round of 322 put the Boxers in a finish in eighth place, three strokes out of a sixth-place finish.
