FOREST GROVE, Ore.- The Pacific University lacrosse team dropped a 18-4 contest on Saturday to the Willamette Bearcats.
Top Performers
- Hyland Cullen-Musengo tallied her 26th goal of the season, Devyn Davis and Mia White tallied their 19th of the season, and Sarah Porknoy tallied her 17th of the season this weekend.
- The Boxers won possession more than the Bearcats tallying 15 of the 26 ground balls.
How It Happened
The Willamette Bearcats came out on the front foot, scoring within the first minute of the match. Their offense scored six unanswered goals before Davis got the Boxers on the scoreboard in the second quarter.
Three minutes later Cullen-Musengo drove down the center of the field and fired a shot past the Bearcats goalie to cut the deficit to five. Porknoy scored the final goal of the half for the Boxers off a pass from Cullen-Musengo. The Bearcats extended their lead to 10-3 to close out the first half.
A free position shot for White in the fourth quarter added one final goal for the Boxers, before the Bearcats took the victory 18-4.
