Pacific gave Puget Sound a scare, getting within two goals with 3:34 remaining in the game. But the Boxers couldn't get any closer, falling 10-8 Sunday at Hanson Stadium in Forest Grove.
Trailing 8-1, Pacific scored two goals in the final 2 minutes of the second quarter to get within 8-3 at halftime. Down 10-4 entering the fourth quarter, the Boxers outscored Puget Sound 4-0 in the final period to get within 10-8.
