Pacific honored its five lacrosse seniors before Sunday's final home match against George Fox.
And the celebration didn't end there as the Boxers scored two quick goals in the first 1 minute, 30 seconds to jump on the reigning Northwest Conference champions.
However, the Bruins answered with four straight goals and rolled to a 24-3 win to clinch the NWC regular season title.
All three Pacific goals came in the first quarter. Senior
Zannah Suehiro scored the first goal with 13:52 remaining.
Cameron Cabuco then scored thanks to an assist by senior
Devyn Davis with 13:30 to go. Senior
Hyland Cullen-Musengo recorded her team-leading 24th goal of the season with 1:56 remaining to get within 4-3.
George Fox combined to outscore the Boxers 19-0 in the second, third and fourth quarters.
Senior
Diane Crets had eight saves at goalkeeper.
Next, Pacific plays at Whitworth on Saturday, April 27 and then at Whitman on Sunday, April 28 to finish the 2024 season.
