PORTLAND — The Pacific volleyball team snapped a seven match losing streak Saturday night with a 3-2 victory over winless Lewis & Clark.
After capturing the first two sets 25-15 and 25-20, the Boxers found themselves in a battle as the Pioneers responded with 25-16 and 25-18 victories to even the match at 2-2.
Pacific raced out to a 14-5 lead to get to match point in the deciding fifth set. But Lewis & Clark kept fighting as the Pioneers went on an 8-0 run to get within 13-14 before the Boxers won the match on service error.
Lewis & Clark outhit Pacific .119 to .061 and had eight more kills in the match but were doomed by 16 service errors.
Pacific junior 
Emma Velchek had eight kills and five aces in the win. 
Hannah Carlson added seven kills and 
Justyce Schilz posted six blocks. 
Rorie Frias recorded 16 assists and 15 digs. 
The Boxers improved to 2-10 in the Northwest Conference with both wins coming against Lewis & Clark.
The Pioneers have lost 46 straight matches dating back to the 2023 season.
