PORTLAND, Ore. — The Pacific women's basketball team opened the 2025-26 season Sunday evening with a convincing 71-48 win at Lewis & Clark.
Playing a non-conference contest, the Boxers raced out to a 15-2 lead against Lewis & Clark and held a 21-9 advantage at the end of the first period.
Pacific then outscored the River Otters 18-8 in the second quarter to take a commanding 39-17 lead into halftime.
Sophomore
Sydney Esperanza posted her first career double-double, finishing with 15 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Senior
Shaade Williams and freshman
Karina Franco were both one rebound shy of a double-double. Williams had 13 points and nine rebounds. Franco added 10 points and nine rebounds in her first college game.
The Boxers dominated the boards, outrebounding Lewis & Clark 57 to 41. Pacific also outscored the River Otters 42-18 in the paint.
