The Pacific women's basketball team tipped off its home schedule Friday night with a decisive 83-52 win over Schreiner University.
Leading by six points at halftime, 33-27, the Boxers opened the third quarter on a 10-0 run put the game away. Pacific doubled up the Mountaineers in the second half, outscoring Schreiner 50-25.
The Boxers shot 56.7 percent from the field, including 37.5 percent from 3. Pacific outrebounded the Mountaineers 44 to 31 and outscored the visiting team in the paint 52-22. Schreiner shot just 31 percent.

Shaade Williams led all scorers with 19 points to go along with eight rebounds and three assists. Senior
Lindsay Barden 16 points and four rebounds. Sophomore
Sydney Esperanza added 14 points, nine rebounds and five assists.
Eleven different players scored for the Boxers in the non-conference win.
Next: Pacific (2-0) hosts Pomona-Pitzer (1-1) on Sunday at 1 p.m.
