Parker records 100th career win as Boxers top Colorado College in double overtime

The Pacific women's basketball team would not die.

Down 16 points with 6:17 remaining, the Boxers battled back to edge Colorado College 95-92 in double overtime Saturday night in the Ken Schumann Classic.

The win was the 100th career victory for Pacific head coach Alecia Parker.

The Boxers used an 11-0 run to get within 61-56 with 3:24 left in regulation. After Ava Cook and Lindsay Barden knocked down back-to-back 3 pointers to get Pacific within a point, 65-64, with 1:18 to go, a Karina Franco block gave the ball back to the Boxers.

With 34 seconds remaining, Shaade Williams went 1-for-2 from the free throw line to tie the game at 65-65. Sydney Esperanza then took a charge with 1 second to go.

The Boxers trailed by as many as seven points in the first overtime, but again would not quit as Barden made a 3-pointer with 5 seconds remaining to tie the game at 82-82 and force a second overtime period.

With 2:15 remaining, Brookelynn Burke banked in a 3-pointer to give Pacific its first lead, 87-86, since leading 4-2 early in the first period.

Cook, who finished with a career-high 21 points and six rebounds, made a 3-pointer to extend the Boxers advantage to 92-88 with 59 seconds to go. Williams then went 3-for-4 from the free throw line to secure the victory.

Williams finished with 18 points and six rebounds. Esperanza had 19 points and four rebounds. Barden added a career-high 17 points and six assists. Franco had a career-high 11 points and nine rebounds.
