TACOMA, Wash. -- The Pacific men's tennis team opened Northwest Conference action with a bang, winning 6-1 at Puget Sound on Saturday.
The Boxers won all three doubles matches.
Jonathan Nguyen and
Dawson Hose edged Will Church and Jason Rowe 7-5 at 1 doubles. Pacific dominated 2 and 3 doubles with Joshua Dela Cruz and
Ryley Chang winning 6-2 and
Aidan Rooney and
Alexander Kinoshita winning 6-0.Â
Dela Cruz got the best of Church again 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) at 2 singles. Kinoshita edged Ward in three sets 7-5, 4-6, 1-0 (10-6) at 3 singles.Â
Nguyen defeated Trent Beckman 6-2, 2-6, 6-0 at 4 singles.Â
Rooney and Hose captured the 5 and 6 singles points for the Boxers, both winning in two sets.
