Ice and snow did not slow down the Pacific attack.
The Boxers kicked off the 2025 lacrosse season Saturday afternoon with a convincing 17-10 win over visiting Eastern Oregon.
After Pacific sophomore
Jasmyn Zimmerman scored the first goal 36 seconds into the game, the Boxers kept lighting up the scoreboard. Pacific junior
Sarah Quade put the ball in the net 1 minute, 31 seconds into the contest to give the Boxers a quick 2-0 lead.
Quade finished with six goals and an assist to lead Pacific's scoring attack.
Zimmerman recorded four goals and an assist. Freshmen
Ellena Willingham, who scored her first collegiate goal with 2:48 remaining in the first quarter to give the Boxers a 4-1 lead, also had four goals and an assist for the Boxers to go along with a team-leading five groundballs.
Sophomore
Cameron Cabuco added three goals in the victory.
Getting her first start at goalkeeper, Pacific freshman
Jocelyn Taylor recorded seven saves.
Leading 11-5 at halftime, the Boxers outscored Eastern Oregon 4-1 in the third quarter to take a commanding 15-6 advantage entering the fourth.
The win snapped a 12-game losing streak. The 17 goals are the most Pacific has scored since defeating Multnomah 17-7 on March 19, 2023.
