The Pacific women's lacrosse team is on a winning streak.
The Boxers defeated Puget Sound 10-9 in overtime Saturday afternoon for their second straight Northwest Conference victory.
The win broke a 14-game losing streak to Puget Sound, dating back to the 2017 season.
Tied 9-9, Pacific junior
Sarah Quade scored the game-winning goal with 3:19 remaining in the first sudden victory overtime period.
After the Boxers raced out to a 2-0 lead, Puget Sound scored five straight goals to take a 5-2 advantage with 1:49 remaining in the first period.
Freshman
Ellena Willingham ended the scoring drought with 11 seconds remaining in the quarter and then struck again to tie the match at 5-5 with 13:15 remaining in the first half.
Tied 6-6 at halftime, Willingham scored her fourth goal of the game to put the Boxers on top 7-6 with 12:19 remaining in the third period.
Puget Sound tied the match at 9-9 with 3:55 left in regulation.
Pacific sophomore
Cameron Cabuco had three goals in the victory. Quade recorded four ground balls to go long with two goals.
