The Pacific football team kicks off its 2025 home schedule Saturday night against undefeated Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

The Pointers are off to a 2-0 start after finishing just 1-9 last season, including 0-7 in the tough Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

After edging Albion College 28-21 in overtime on Sept. 6, Stevens Point defeated St. Norbert 41-17 last Saturday.

The Pointers are averaging 299.5 total yards per game – 162 rushing and 137.5 passing.

Senior Brycen Cashin has rushed for 142 yards and three touchdowns in two games.

Senior quarterback Charlie Smith has been efficient, completing 30 of 48 passes for 275 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.

Linebacker Paul Morris, a junior, leads the Stevens Point defense with 23 total tackles.Â

The Pointers have forced six turnovers – four interceptions and two fumbles.

Pacific finally plays its first game at Hanson Stadium after opening the season on Sept. 4 with a 21-13 loss at Howard Payne in Texas.

The Boxers then defeated Willamette last Saturday, recording its first shutout since the 2022 season.Â

The Pacific defense had five interceptions in the win, including a pick-6 by senior linebacker
Rylan Ma'ae, who was voted the Northwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Safety
Kaden Huppin, a Beaverton native who transferred from Sierra College in California, leads the Boxer defense with 13 total tackles. Linebacker
Nehemiah Faleulu, voted All-Northwest Conference Honorable Mention last season, has 12 tackles and a sack.

Pacific returns two First Team All-NWC selections on offense – running back
Brody Bantolina and receiver
Josiah Chaffin.Â
Â
After leading all of Division III with 2,198 all-purpose yards in 2024, Bantolina has been held to 120 rushing yards and two touchdowns so far this season.

Chaffin has six catches for 87 yards and a touchdown.

Three different quarterbacks have spent time under center for the Boxers.

Sophomore
Keaton Smith, this Saturday's projected starter, has completed 13 of 22 passes for 151 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Sophomore
Makana Kamaka-Brayce is 14-for-24 for 193 yards and one touchdown.

Junior
Riley Camarillo has six catches for 117 yards and a touchdown.Â
