NEWBERG, Ore. – After a slow start, the Pacific women's basketball team rallied in the fourth quarter to get within three points at George Fox.
But the Boxers could not complete the comeback, falling 63-51 Tuesday night in Northwest Conference action.
After shooting just 17.8 percent and scoring only 12 points in the first half, Pacific finally got into an offensive groove in the third quarter. The Boxers, who made 7 of 10 shots, scored 18 points in the period to get within 37-30 entering the fourth.

Shaade Williams cut the Boxer deficit to 39-36 with 8:03 remaining. But George Fox stretched its lead back to double digits on back-to-back 3 pointers with 4:34 to go. The Bruins exploded for 26 points in the final period.
Pacific sophomore
Sydney Esperanza led the Boxers with 13 points and six rebounds. Freshman
Karina Franco had 11 points and eight rebounds.
Pacific scored all of its points inside of the 3-point arc. The Boxers finished 0-for-5 from 3 and were also plagued by 20 turnovers in the loss.
