After a slow start, the Pacific women's basketball team appeared to figure out visiting Willamette in the second period. The Boxers, who forced six turnovers, went on a 9-0 run to get within five points at halftime.
But the Bearcats caught fire in the third period, opening on a 22-0 run to defeat Pacific 65-55 Saturday afternoon inside the Stoller Center. Willamette made eight 3-pointers in the period and finished 13-for-26 from 3 for the game.
The Boxers missed their first 10 3-point attempts before
Brookelynn Burke ended the drought with 1:47 remaining in the third period.
Pacific went on a 12-2 run in the fourth quarter to cut the deficit to 11 points, 61-50, with 2:14 to go. But the Boxers couldn't get any closer than 10 points as they dropped to 3-5 in the Northwest Conference.

Shaade Williams led the Boxers with 13 points and seven rebounds. Senior
Lindsay Barden had 11 points, six assists and six steals.
