Boxers win big on senior day

The Pacific women's basketball team celebrated senior day Saturday afternoon with a convincing 69-52 win over Pacific Lutheran.

The Boxers three seniors accounted for 28 of Pacific's 69 points. Lindsay Barden filled up the stat sheet with 12 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals. Ava Cook had eight points and 10 rebounds. Shaade Williams finished with eight points and nine rebounds.

The Boxers never trailed in the game, racing out to a 10-3 lead. Pacific stretched its advantage to double digits early in the second period, taking a 23-13 lead with 7:20 remaining.

Pacific junior Brookelynn Burke provided a season-high 13 points and six rebounds off the bench.

The Boxers outrebounded Pacific Lutheran 56 to 34 to snap an eight-game losing streak. 

Next: Pacific hosts George Fox on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Boxers final home game of the regular season.
