ResultsFOREST GROVE, Ore. — Pacific's men edged Puget Sound 99-92 while the Logger women topped the Boxers in a dual swim meet on Friday night at the Forest Grove Aquatic Center.
The Boxer men had seven first place finishes on the evening to help them to the narrow win over UPS.
Raymond Miller,
Jack Lloyd and
Michael Sakai won two races each, while Miller and Lloyd also were on Pacific's 200 yard freestyle winning relay team.
Miller won the 200 yard freestyle (1:48.43) and the 100 yard backstroke (56.09), while Lloyd captured the 50 yard freestyle (21.42) and the 100 yard freestyle (47.24). Sakai touched the edge of the pool first in the 400 yard I.M. (4:28.24) and the 100 yard butterfly (54.61).
The Boxers won the relay in a time of 1:30.41, with Miller coming out of the blocks, Lloyd anchoring and
David John Francis Aukai Kea and Sanden Ballreich holding down the second and third spots.
Rachel Webster won two matches for the Pacific women but the Loggers controlled most of the rest of the pool in winning the women's dual, 145.5 to 55.5.
Webster won the 400 I.M. in 4:47.12 and and also claimed the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:34.61. Kalya Knock also picked up a win for Pacific in the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:11.77.
The Boxers will dive right back into the pool on Saturday with an 11 a.m. dual meet with Pacific Lutheran at the Forest Grove Aquatic Center.
