RESULTS (PDF)BOISE, Idaho — Pacific won four events on the men's side and one women's race but College of Idaho claimed both the men's and women's team competitions in dual meets at the West Family YMCA on Saturday evening.
The Coyotes (NAIA) topped the Boxer men 146-94 while the No. 6 nationally ranked COI women were victors, 183-68. The College of Idaho men improved to 3-0 on the season in dual meets.
After watching C of I jump to a big early lead, the Boxers (1-4) swept the top two places in the 200-yard breaststroke, with
Michael Sakai's victory and
Carter Suzuki's second place crossing getting the visitors within 96-74. But the Yotes rolled to wins in the final four events to eliminate any team drama.
Jack Lloyd led the Boxers with wins in both sprints – winning the 50 (21.71) and 100-yard (49.14) freestyle events.
Raymond Miller also was victorious, winning the 200 free (1:48.67).
Rachel Webster was the lone gold medalist for the women. She won the 200 butterfly in 2:22.27.
College of Idaho improved to 3-1 in dual meets on the season, while Pacific dropped to 0-5.
Next up for the Boxers will be a January 22 dual meet at Willamette. Start time for the Salem event is 6 p.m.
