Box Score The Pacific University women's basketball team snapped a 11-game road losing streak with a 58-54 win over Pacific Lutheran on Friday in Tacoma.
The Boxers (5-13, 3-6 NWC) went ahead just before halftime on a second-chance basket by senior
Sarah Curl (Portland, Ore.) for the first time in the contest. Curl and Pacific remained in front for nearly the rest of the contest, building a lead as large as 10. The second-chance basket by Curl ended a 10-3 run for the Boxers, who led at the break for the first time on the road on the season.

Curl, an All-American candidate, had her fifth double double of the season, pulling in game-high honors with 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead Pacific. She was joined in double figures by
Karli McHone (Glenns Ferry, Idaho), who added 13 points.

Pacific Lutheran (1-17, 0-9 NWC) was led by Lacey Nicholson and Kristin Sturdivan, who had 19 and 12 points, respectively.

The Boxers closed out the third quarter with a 9-2 run to take a 44-39 lead, heading into the final quarter. Pacific added to its lead at the start of the final quarter, scoring eight of the first 11 points for a 10-point lead, 52-42, with 3:13 left in the contest. A resilient Pacific Lutheran squad managed to cut the deficit to three in the closing minutes before McHone made a pair of free throws and Gilbert made one with :14 left to seal the win.
