SPOKANE, Wash. — Boxers' senior
Raymond Miller picked up another individual victory to add to his season total, but the Whitworth Pirates topped Pacific in the team competition 155-44.
The Boxers opened the meet with a second place finish in the 400-yard medley relay. The team of: junior
Aukai Kea (Mililani, Hawaii), senior
Derek Dunn (Springfield, Ore.), senior
Michael Sakai (Honolulu, Hawaii) and Miller (Portland, Ore.) swam to a time of 3:45.94.
Miller won the third men's event of the day with a 1:46.33 in the 200-yard freestyle.
The 50-yard freestyle saw Kea finish second at 23.22, while a few events later Sakai posted a 2:02.85 to finish third in the 200-yard butterfly.
Dunn was second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 51.43.
Miller picked up a runner-up finish in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing at 5:00.02 to record the Boxers' final top-three finish of the day in individual events.
The Boxers' final event was the 400-yard freestyle relay, which saw the team of freshman
Reed Charron (Fort Collins, Colo.),
Rayce Houser (John Day, Ore.), Alex Halquist (Hillsboro, Ore.) and senior
Michael Hernandez-Michalski (Salinas, Calif.) finish second at 4:18.64.
Pacific will compete on December 2 at the CAT Senior Open, hosted by the Corvallis Aquatic Team in Corvallis, Ore. The Boxers will return to dual action in January.
