All-Region honors for the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season were announced recently by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the regular season. The Pacific men's track and field team had four honorees in five events including
Josh Huffman in the shot put and discus,
Jason Draper in the hammer,
Jacob DuVall in the discus and
James Hoban in the 100-meter dash. The Pacific women's track and field team also had four honorees in five events including
Karen Du in the shot put and discus,
Brooke France in the javelin,
Jenna Hoiland in the triple jump and
Emily Sproul in the javelin.
Top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay teams.
A total of 1915 honors were handed out to athletes from USTFCCCA member institutions, which included a near-even split between men's (951) and women's programs (964).
France, Hoiland and Sproul will continue their season at this week's NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships Thursday-Saturday, May 23-25 at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
