NEWBERG, Ore.- The Pacific University men's and women's swimming teams competed in the Northwest Conference Relays hosted by George Fox on Saturday afternoon.
 
There were six NWC teams at the event as Puget Sound, Whitworth, Willamette, Linfield, and Pacific made the trip to join George Fox. The Boxer women finished in fifth with 144 points while the men finished in sixth with 78 points.
 
RESULTS
 
The first event to take place was the mixed 200-yard medley relay. Hannah Brandow (Senior/Eugene, OR), Julie Abrigonde (Junior/Reno, NV), Hung Huynh (Senior/Billings, MT), and Josh Joireman (Junior/Pullman, WA) earned 26 points for the Boxers after their sixth-place finish.
 
 
Women
 
Alex Moehnke (Sophomore/Banks, OR), Madelyn Russell (Sophomore/Simi Valley, CA), and Allison Simon (Sophomore/Chula Vista, CA) finished fourth in the 3x100-yard butterfly relay and grabbed 30 points for Pacific.
 
In the 3x100-yard backstroke relay, Brandow, Abrigonde, and Anne Marie Grieder-Jacobs (Freshman/Portland, OR) stood on the podium with a third-place finish.
 
 Julia Crumb (Senior/North Bend, WA), Phoebe Pratt (Junior/Bend, OR), and Simon posted a sixth-place finish in the 3x100-yard breaststroke relay, earning 26 points. 
 
Crumb, Greider-Jacobs, Moehnke, and Allison Wilkes (Junior/Tillamook, OR) registered 28 points for the Boxers with their fifth-place time in the 500-yard freestyle.
 
 
Men
 
The Boxer men scored early in the meet when Vinh Pham (Sophomore/Beaverton, OR), Benjamin Jones (Junior/Vancouver, WA), and Hung posted a time of 3:32.37 in the 3x100-yard butterfly relay, earning 26 points.
 
Connor Gates (Junior/Aberdeen, WA), Jones, and Pham picked up 26 points in the 3x100-yard backstroke.
 
Ethan Hunter (Senior/Silverton, OR), Joireman, Gates, and Vinh finished sixth in the 500-yard freestyle relay to rack up 26 points to wrap up the day for the Boxers.
