Box Score Sophomore Madison Cabardo's three-pointer with 46 seconds left gave the Boxers the lead at 70-68 and Sophomore Brilie Kovaloff made two free throws with 14 seconds on the clock to seal the 72-68 win for the Pacific women's basketball team (2-2) over the visiting Wildcats of Linfield University (1-5).

A night after the Wildcats edged the Boxers by two in McMinnville, it looked to be another back and forth game as the first half featured 14 lead changes before the Boxers took a one point lead into halftime, 31-30. The Boxers held the biggest lead of the half (six points) five minutes into the first quarter.

The Boxers led 42-40 with 4:15 left in the third quarter and built a 12 point lead to finish the period with a 13-3 run. Kovaloff led the scoring in the quarter with 8 points as the Boxers shot 80% from beyond the 3-point line (4-of-5).

The Boxers led by as many as fifteen early in the fourth quarter before Linfield University went on a 22-8 run to pull within one 67-66 with 2:07 left. The Wildcats stretched the lead to three on Shasta Lofgren (22 points, 9 rebounds) jumper with :54 left in the game before Cabardo's three-pointer and Kovaloff's free throws closed out the win for the Boxers.

"It was a great effort tonight," said head coach Alecia Parker. "Linfield plays really hard every possession and they went on a run in the fourth. Our team is young and learning to grow in those situations – they executed well in the last two minutes and everyone chipped in to finish the win."

Kovaloff led the Boxers in scoring with 22 points on 9-15 shooting including two from beyond the three-point line, and Senior Camy Aguinaldo put up a near triple double with 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 assists on the night.

The Boxers return to the court on Thursday, April 8 as they host Division II power, University of Alaska, Anchorage.
