McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Pacific Women's Soccer played to a 1-1 draw with Linfield as the points were shared on Sunday afternoon.
Brooklyn Yano netted an equalizing goal in the 79
th minute to salvage a point for her team on the road. The Boxers were on the back foot in the first half but created some solid scoring chances in the final 45 minutes to claw their way back into the contest. This was Pacific's first draw of 2022.

How It Happened
Alvarado nearly found the opening goal in the 22
nd minute when she tried her luck from outside the box, but saw her effort strike the crossbar.
Linfield broke the deadlock in the 35
th minute when Kathryn Pearson did well to find to Emily Wyde with her back to goal just outside the six-yard box. The sophomore spun onto her right foot and fired across goal to give her team the one-goal advantage.
Pacific started to grow into the game in the second half, dominating possession while looking more dangerous going forward. The Boxers won a corner kick in the 79
th minute and Garcia whipped in an inviting cross that was deflected onto the crossbar before finding the head of Yano who leveled the game with her first collegiate goal.
The Boxers faced some sustained pressure in the final 10 minutes but the defense held strong to preserve the 1-1 score line, and both teams would walk away with a point.
What It Means
Pacific picks up a point and remains in fifth place in the NWC standings, just three points behind fourth-place Lewis & Clark.
