FOREST GROVE, Ore. – It finished all square at Hanson Stadium as Pacific Women's Soccer and Lewis & Clark scored a goal apiece in the 1-1 draw. Both teams earn a point in the Northwest Conference standings.
An own goal opened the scoring in the second half before
Catalina Alvarado's long-range strike leveled the contest 10 minutes later. There was little to separate the two teams but the visitors held the edge in the shot column (14-9). Pacific nearly found the winner but managed to strike the woodwork on multiple occasions.

How It Happened
Just three minutes into the contest, Garcia saw her effort strike the crossbar as Pacific nearly found the opening goal.
Neither team could seem to gain a foothold in the match until Lewis & Clark eventually found the breakthrough when a dangerous cross ricocheted off a defender and found its way over the goal line. This own goal gave the Pioneers a lead in the 55
th minute.
The Boxers quickly bounced back with a goal in the 66
th minute when Alvarado tried her luck from well outside the penalty area. The right back's shot hit the inside of the post and into the back of the net, evening things up at 1-1.
With three minutes left to play, Pacific hit the crossbar twice in the same attacking move when
Chanyn Santos' free kick came off the woodwork to the foot of Alvarado, who also blasted her shot off the bar.
What It Means
The Boxers are unbeaten in their last four matches and picks up a point another point in the NWC table.
