TACOMA, Wash.- Pacific University lacrosse struggled in Saturday afternoon's contest at Puget Sound and the Loggers would come away with the 14-2 victory.
UPS improved 4-1 in NWC play after their impressive offensive display. The hosts out-shot the Boxers 33-6.
Emily Lariviere led the way with six goals from her 13 shots.
Pacific (2-8, 0-6 NWC) were unable to earn their first conference win but got a couple goals from leading goal-scorer
Hyland Cullen-Musengo (Sophomore/Portland, OR). The midfielder reached the 20-goal mark for the season as she has enjoyed an excellent sophomore campaign.
How It Happened
The Loggers scored four times in the opening 15 minutes and netted two more before halftime. UPS extended their lead to 9-0 before Cullen-Musengo ended the drought and got her name on the scoresheet.
Pacific was awarded a free-position attempt with eight seconds left on the clock and Cullen-Musengo made the most of it, ripping it into the back of the net for her second goal of the day. However, it would be too little, too late as Puget Sound came away with the comfortable 14-2 win.
