FOREST GROVE, Ore.- The Pacific University lacrosse team dropped a NWC on Sunday to Puget Sound by a score of 10-7.

The Loggers were able to fire three more shots than the Boxers in the contest while establishing an advantage by putting six more shots on frame than the Boxers.

- Hyland Cullen-Musengo had a dominant performance offensively for the Boxers scoring four goals while also collecting four draws.
- Devyn Davis was able to control five draws in the contest while also causing two turnovers defensively.

How It Happened
Â
The Boxers were able to score the first goal of the game 11:15 into the opening quarter following a successful clear attempted. Cullen-Musengo was able to find space in the attacking third before finding the back of the net giving the Boxers the 1-0 lead. Puget Sound would respond with back-to-back goals before Cullen-Musengo would even the game on an assist from
Mia White. She would add her third goal of the quarter with 1:28 remaining giving the Boxers a 3-2 lead. With 27 seconds to go before the quarter break, UPS would score an equalizer on a free position shot.

It was a slow second quarter for both sides as the Loggers would score the lone goal of the quarter and take a 4-3 lead into halftime.

The visitors opened up the third quarter with three consecutive goals to take a 7-3 lead.
Devyn Davis would convert a shot with 1:08 remaining in the quarter to narrow the deficit to 7-4.

Trailing 9-4 in the final quarter,
Diane Crets and
Hyland Cullen-Musengo would score back-to-back goals. With 6:21 remaining in the quarter, the Boxers trailed 9-6. Both sides would add another goal down the stretch as Puget Sound earned the 10-7 NWC win.
