LA VERNE, Calif. -- Pacific had plenty to celebrate on the flight home from Southern California.
After senior
Danica Nelson recorded her 1,000th career dig in a 3-1 win over Redlands Friday, the Boxers closed the road trip with a 3-1 victory against Occidental Saturday morning.
Pacific improved to 4-3 overall on the season after starting the California trip with a 3-1 loss to Santa Cruz Friday morning.
Santa Cruz 3, Pacific 1
The Boxers started strong, winning the opening set 25-22. But Santa Cruz answered with three straight wins, 25-13, 28-18, 25-14, to take the match.
Senior
Mara Murphy finished with 16 kills and nine digs to lead Pacific.Â
Pacific 3, Redlands 1
The Boxers won the first two sets 25-21, 25-22 to take a 2-0 lead. After Redlands won the third set 25-19 to extend the match, Pacific won 25-17 to finish off the Bulldogs.
Murphy again led Pacific with 19 kills to go along with nine digs. Sophomore
Emma Velchek recorded 18 kills. 13 digs, two blocks and two aces.
Maya Deferme had 39 assists and eight digs. Nelson finished with 14 digs.Â
Pacific 3, Occidental 1
Tied 1-1, the Boxers won a marathon third set 30-28 to take control of the match and then carried over that momentum to win the fourth game 25-22.
 Murphy led Pacific's attack with 12 kills. Anneka Hanson had seven kills and three blocks. Deferme finished with 27 assists, three blocks and nine digs.
