LAKE OSWEGO -- The Pacific women's golf team placed second in the Northwest Conference Fall Classic at Oswego Lake Country Club.
Playing through rain delays and finishing in the dark, the Boxers shot a 328 on Sunday and then followed up with a 336 on Monday for a two-day total of 664.Â
Pacific finished just four strokes behind team champion George Fox (660) and two strokes ahead of third-place Whitman (666). Whitworth (668) and Lewis & Clark (672) were not far behind in fourth and fifth.
Pacific junior
Bead Boonta moved up the leaderboard on Monday, finishing tied for second overall behind low medalist Katelyn Lam of George Fox. Boonta followed up Sunday's 81 with a 78 on Monday for a two-round total of 159.Â

Makena Tsuye (168) and freshman
Faith Sampson (170) tied for ninth and 15th, respectively. Junior
Kayla Speer and freshman
Mielle Kavran carded a 172 and 178 for the Boxers.Â
The Pacific men finished eighth in the team standings with a two-round total of 621.
Willamette (577) won the men's championship, finishing ahead of runner-up Whitman (586) and third-place Linfield (593).

Ryan Murray's 151 paced the Boxers. Freshman
Alex Lustig shot a 154 and junior
Benjamin Korach carded a 157.Â
Whitman's Mason Remington shot a 140 to win low medalist honors, finishing one stroke ahead of Willamette's Brock Olson.
Next: Pacific will compete in the Confluence Classic on Oct. 19-20 in Walla, Walla, Wash.
