MCMINNVILLE -- The Pacific women's golf team continues to rewrite the program's record book.
The Boxers shot the second lowest two-day score in school history, 638, to finish third at the Northwest Conference Championships, held Sunday and Monday at Michelbook Country Club.
After firing off a 320 in round one, Pacific shot a 318 on Monday to climb past Whitworth for third place. The Boxers entered round two five strokes behind the Pirates. Pacific also outplayed second-place Whitman on Monday. The Blues shot a 326 for a two-day total of 628.
George Fox carded a 603 to win the NWC team championship.
Bruins fifth-year senior Alison Takamiya shot a 139 to earn low medalist honors.
Pacific sophomore
Kayla Speer led the Boxers, carding a 158 to place tied for 10th overall.
Sophomore
Bead Boonta shot a 159 to finish 12th. Junior
Nikki Tabios (160) tied for 13th and freshman
Cassidy Tanoue (161) tied for 15th.
