TUALATIN, Ore. -- The Pacific women's golf team opened the 2025 fall season with a second-place finish in the Orange & Black Invitational.
Playing Monday and Tuesday at the Tualatin Country Club, Pacific junior
Bead Boonta placed fourth overall out of 26 golfers. She followed Monday's 82 with a 77 on Tuesday for a two-day total of 159.
UC Santa Cruz's Adeline Truong fired a 154 to win low medalist honors.

Makena Tsuye followed with a 166 to place 10th. Junior
Kayla Speer (168) and freshman
Brynn Yonemori (169) finished 12th and 13th, respectively.
Another Pacific freshman,
Faith Sampson (173) took 15th.
The Boxers shot a 661 to finish 32 strokes behind champion UC Santa Cruz.
Pacific finished ahead of Northwest Conference teams Lewis & Clark (683) and Linfield (735).
The Pacific men's golf team carded a 637 to place fifth at the Orange & Black Invitational.

Benjamin Korach shot a 158 to lead the Boxers. Junior
Ryan Murray posted a 159 and freshman
Jonathan Nolasco carded a 160 in his first tournament.
Next: The Boxers will host the Pacific Invite at Pumpkin Ridge on Oct. 4-5.
