NEWBERG -- The Pacific track team finished off their indoor competition season at George Fox last Friday, February 21st. The team competed in all the field events, as well as the 60-meter and 60-meter hurdle disciplines and recorded eight more top ten performances.
Top Performers
Senior Ally Hammond took to the track and ran away with two wins on the day. She started off with the hurdles, finishing the prelims in a time of 8.82 seconds. She then went on to finish first in the finals in a time of 9.00.
Freshman Mikell Adler also had a good day in the hurdles, setting a personal record in a time of 8.62 and finishing second overall.
Next, Hammond made it to the finals in the open 60 and won the finals in a time of 7.73, equaling her personal best.
Freshman Nalu Chinen-Zablan and junior Makayla Tuiolemotu both finished runner-up in the men's long jump and women's shot put, respectively, with Tuiolemotu also finishing third in the women's weight throw.
Lastly, senior Jayden Fordham won the men's high jump competition with a leap of 1.90 meters, just one centimeter shy of his personal best.

Up Next
The Boxers will be opening their outdoor competition season with the Linfield Erik Anderson Icebreaker this Friday and Saturday, February 28th-March 1st. The men's and women's 10k races will be on Friday night under the lights at 7 8 p.m. The rest of the meet will be contested on Saturday with events starting at 9 a.m.
