OLYMPIA, Wash. – Pacific's
Audrey Diaz continued her strong junior season with a runner-up finish at the Evergreen Open on Sunday.
Wrestling in the 138-pound bracket, Diaz went 4-0 with two tech falls and a pin before losing by fall in the finals to Evergreen State's Haley Le.Â
But Diaz wasn't the only Pacific wrestler to find success on Sunday. Freshman
Sarahi Chavez finished third at 130 pounds, winning by a 10-0 tech fall in the third-place match. Sophomore
Zoe Vickers placed fourth at 124 pounds. After dropping her first match, Vickers went 2-0 in the consolation bracket before falling in the third-place contest.Â
Pacific freshman
Garrett Head finished third in the men's tournament. At 125 pounds, Head went 2-2, winning by fall and injury default.
