SALEM, Ore. -
Stephenie Spencer finished eighth in the women's race to highlight Pacific's results at the CCC Preview Meet, hosted on the campus of Corban University on Friday afternoon.
Spencer was the top Boxer runner on the day, covering the hilly five kilometer course in 19:17. Five of the top six finishers wore Northwest Christian uniforms, with Sierra Brown crossing the line first in 18:09. NWC is ranked second nationally in the NAIA pre-season poll.
Jessica Knoll finished 28th in 20:52,
Harmony Wayner was 35th (21:26),
Serena Wallace 41st (22:10) and
Emily Heinze rounded out Pacific's top five in 42nd place (22:30).
On the men's side, Stephen Allen was the first Boxer across the finish line, covering the eight kilometer course in 28:11, good for 21st place. Next for Pacific was
Logan Naegeli in 34th (29:36),
Kyle Eisenbeis in 35th (30:01),
Kaleb Bass followed in 46th (32:29) and
Trevis Fong completed coach
Matt Lydum's top five in 49th place (33:38).
Southern Oregon claimed the top four spots to win the team title with 18 points. Pacific finished in fifth place in both the men's and women's competitions.
