PORTLAND, Ore. — Boxer runners continued to post fast early-season marks on Friday in the TrackTown USA High Performance Meet #3 at the Nike+ Run Club House of Track in the Pearl District.
Five indoor school records were bettered under the neon lights on Friday night.
Stephenie Spencer smashed her own standard in the mile run with a time of 5:11.54 (her 2015 mark was 5:28.28). The sophomore finished third in the heat, with Club Northwest's Lana Lacey winning in 5:09.60. Concordia's Megan Fristoe was second, just inches ahead of Spencer in 5:11.03.
Jessica Knoll bettered her school record in the 800 meters, set two weeks ago in 2:22.12 (2:22.71 was old mark). She finished sixth in her heat.
Breezy Brookbank won her heat in the 400 meters and set a new Pacific standard at 1:02.18.
Shannon Hammond did the same in the high jump with a leap of 5-2.25. (1.58 meters). Pacific also broke a week-old mark in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:10.91.
Kobe Williams and
Garrett Price both clocked 7.38 in the 60 meters to highlight efforts for the Boxer men.
All Pacific indoor records have been recorded in just the last three seasons (2014-16).
The Boxers will race again next week at the House of Track (Feb. 5). Start time is 5 p.m.
