The Boxers (7-1, 1-0 NWC) have won seven-straight matches after a season-opening loss to Montana Western. An all-around effort sparked by an energetic crowd of nearly 650 fans inside the Stoller Center led host Pacific.

Pacific sophomore Karlee Duncan (Bend, Ore.) had her third double double of the young season with a team-high 19 kills to go along with 17 digs in the win. Teammates' junior Bailey Servoss (Mount Vernon, Wash.) and sophomore Milana Ivkovic (Beaverton, Ore.) had 12 and 11 kills, respectively. For Servoss, the 12 kills were a career-high to go along with four blocks. Junior setter Ellie Parker (Beaverton, Ore.) also had a double double, setting the attack with 50 assists and 11 digs to go along with a match-high four service aces. Another key piece to the win was senior libero Anna VanderWeyst (Lacey, Wash.), who had a match-high 35 digs.

Finding themselves down a pair of sets for the first time on the season, a brief three-point spurt sparked a 14-4 run later in the set that put the Boxers ahead 18-9 in the third set. The Boxers went on to win the third set by a 25-14 margin which included six kills by Servoss and three from Duncan.

Pacific find itself behind as much as five in the third set before rallying to tie the set at 15 on a block solo by Servoss. The Boxers scored three of the next four points for an 18-16 advantage to take a lead they would not relinquish to even the match at two sets apiece. Duncan had six kills in the set; plus, Servoss had three kills and two block solos.

With the match tied at two sets and the energy of the crowd, Pacific raced out to a 5-2 lead in the fifth set. The Bruins managed to rally to tie the match on four-more occasions until back-to-back kills by Ivkovic and Duncan put Pacific ahead 12-10. The Boxers never trailed for the remainder of the set to complete the five-set win.
