Annie Berry Breaks Women’s 800m Record

Corvallis,  Ore. – The Boxer men and women's track teams sent some athletes to Corvallis this weekend to compete in the Oregon State University High Performance Meet. Junior Annie Berry set a new school record in the women's 800m on Saturday with her PR of 2:14.19.

Berry raced in the second of eight heats of the women's 800m, and she took 8th place in her heat for an overall 19th place finish in the event. Berry ran a new PR of 2:14.19, which broke the 15-year-old school record in the women's 800m. The old record was 2:14.57, set by Kelsey Owens in 2008.

Liz Bradley also had a good day for the Boxers and moved up on Pacific's Top Ten list. On Friday, Bradley set a new PR in the women's 1500m at 4:46.69, good for 14th place overall. That puts her at the #4 spot on the Top Ten list.
