NEWBERG and PORTLAND, Ore. – The Boxer men and women's track teams competed in the George Fox University Indoor #1 meet on Saturday, February 3rd, and again in the Portland Indoor #2 track meet at the University of Portland and on Sunday, February 4. The running events of 200m and longer were contested at University of Portland, and the hurdles, running events less than 200m and all field events were contested at George Fox University. Three school records were broken at this meet, all by Ally Hammond.
Top Performers
Ally Hammond was undoubtedly the star of the meet for the Boxers. In total, Hammond broke three school records in one day - two of which were her own, that she set the week prior. She broke the women's indoor 60m record with her time of 7.82. Later that day, she broke her own 60m hurdle school record by running a new best of 8.89. To finish out the day, Hammond broke the women's long jump record with her jump of 5.51 meters. Hammond ended up placing 3rd overall in the 60m, 2nd in the long jump, and was the winner of the women's 60m hurdle finals.
Henry Tierney also performed well for the Boxers again, winning the men's 3,000m race at University of Portland and running a personal best of 8:40.83. Lucas Dahl had a good day as well, finishing 2nd overall in the men's 200m at University of Portland, running a time of 22.71.

The Boxers will compete in the George Fox Indoor #2 on Saturday, February 17 and the University of Portland Indoor Meet #3 on Sunday, February 18.
