Portland, Ore. – The Boxers competed in the Larry Byerly Invite hosted by Lewis and Clark College on April 12-13, 2024. Some field events were hosted on Friday, and all other events were hosted Saturday. The Boxers had four new NWC Qualifiers and three athletes / relay teams move up or onto the Top Ten All-Time list.
Top Performers
Angelica Gatica Gomez had the highest finish in her event for the Boxers at this meet. Gatica Gomez placed second in the women's 400m with her time of 58.85. Emily Rutkowski took fourth in the 400m with a time of 1:00.55, moving her to #9 on Pacific's All-Time Top Ten list. Lucas Dahl took 7th in the men's 400m with his PR of 49.79, also moving him to #9 on Pacific Men's All-Time Top Ten list. The 4x100m relay team of Romel Moreland, Kamron Shields, Zion Booker and Lucas Dahl took 3rd place with a time of 42.12, a season best for Pacific and a time that moves them to #5 on the All-Time Top Ten List. Lastly, Courtney Tiernan placed 7th in women's triple jump with her mark of 10.21m, a PR that moves her to #8 on the All-Time Top Ten list.
