Corvallis, Ore. – The Boxers competed in the 2024 Oregon State High Performance Meet on Friday and Saturday, April 26-27. Just a portion of the team is continuing to compete post-conference, seeking school records, PRs and NCAA national marks. At the OSU HP Meet, Ally Hammond PR'd in the women's 100m hurdles, breaking her own school record with a new mark of 14.64, and also in the 100m dash, breaking another of her own records with a new mark of 12.44. These two records mark eleven times Hammond has broken a school record this season.
Top Performers
The OSU HP Meet is one of the largest and most competitive meets Pacific competed in during the season, and features schools from all over, including powerhouse Division I universities like Oregon, University of Portland and Oregon State. Several Boxers had PR's at this meet and some finished in the top ten of their event - a good accomplishment at a meet of this caliber.
Ally Hammond - PR in the women's 100m hurdles (14.64) - a new school record. PR in 100m dash (12.44), another school record.
Zion Booker - PR in the men's 100m (11.09)
Kyle Woodcock - PR in the men's 400m (54.39) and the men's 1500m (4:22.06)
Emily Rutkowski - PR in women's 400m, 10th place (1:00.32) and 9th in the 400m hurdles (1:05.19)
Katrina Brisbois - PR in women's 400m hurdles (1:12.25)
Henry Tierney - 6th in men's 800m (1:53.43) and 6th in the men's 1500m (3:52.50)
Kadyn Eves - PR in the men's 800m (2:16.11)
Morgan Boddy - PR in the women's 800m (2:30.00)
Dina Altuhovs - PR in the women's 800m (2:32.73)
Up Next
A handful of Boxers hope to compete at the Oregon Twilight, hosted by University of Oregon at Hayward Field, on Friday May 3. The rest of the team that is still competing will attend a meet at Linfield University or the Portland Twilight at Lewis and Clark on Saturday, May 4.
