Newberg, Ore. – A small group of Boxers competed in the George Fox Final Qualifier yesterday, May 16. This was the last day possible for athletes to acquire NCAA marks. The top 22 athletes in each event, and the top 16 relay teams, that declare by 10:00am today will compete in the 2024 NCAA DIII National Championship Meet. At the Final Qualifier, Ally Hammond set a new PR in the women's 100m hurdles, running 14.37, breaking her own school record and setting her tied for #25 in the nation.
Top Performers
Annie Berry won the women's 800m race in a season best time of 2:13.33, and Liz Bradley was third in that race with a time of 2:19.49. Emily Rutkowski was the winner of the women's 400m hurdles in 1:06.76 and was third in the 200m (27.16). Courtney Tiernan and Maddy Hubbs were second (1:11.74) and third (1:16.60) in the women's 400m hurdles, respectively. Lucas Dahl was runner-up in both the men's 100m (10.96) and men's 200m (21.88); Aaron Brewer was third in the men's 400m (57.48) and Kadyn Eves was third (61.00). Angelica Gatica Gomez was runner-up in the women's 400m (59.74) and Dina Altuhovs was third (1:05.56).

The Boxers wait to see which athletes are accepted into the NCAA National Meet. Declarations are due at 10:00am PST today, Friday, May 17. A final list of all participants will be posted on today at 5:00pm PST.
